Coastal and humid climates subject ACP panels to salt spray, high UV exposure, and moisture. To withstand these conditions, PRANCE recommends PVDF (Kynar) finishes or high-build polyester powder coats formulated for marine environments. PVDF coatings offer superior UV resistance and chemical inertness, backed by 20-year warranties. They retain color and gloss, resisting chalking or fading under intense sunlight.
High-build polyester powders—applied at 60–80 µm thickness—provide a robust barrier against corrosion and abrasion. Special resin blends and corrosion-inhibiting pigments further enhance performance in salt-laden air. These finishes also cure into a hard film that resists mold and mildew.
Before coating, aluminum substrates undergo pretreatment with conversion layers (e.g., chromium-free oxide) to improve adhesion and corrosion resistance. Quality control includes salt spray (ASTM B117) and humidity chamber testing to validate long-term durability. With these finishes, ACP facades remain vibrant and corrosion-free in the harshest coastal environments.
