Installing an aluminum strip ceiling involves a straightforward, modular process. First, ceiling heights and layouts are surveyed, and support carriers (main runners) are anchored to the structural slab or suspension grid using hangers and adjustable brackets. These carriers are aligned and leveled to ensure a flat ceiling plane. Next, cross rails or secondary carriers are clipped or screwed onto the main runners at specified intervals based on strip width and spacing requirements. Aluminum strips—pre-cut to length—feature integrated clips or hooks that latch onto the carriers. Installers simply push each strip into place, and the clips lock securely, creating a continuous, gap-defined ceiling surface. Electrical, HVAC, and lighting fixtures are coordinated during layout to accommodate recessed or surface-mounted components. The open gaps between strips allow for easy access to the plenum for future maintenance without dismantling entire panels. Typical installation rates range from 20 to 40 square meters per crew per day, depending on site conditions and complexity, making strip ceilings a time-efficient choice.
