Anchoring a camping bubble dome against wind loads requires robust connections between the aluminum base ring and the foundation. We recommend using helical ground screws—12 mm diameter steel anchors that twist into soil to depths of 0.8–1.2 m—to provide high pull-out resistance. The dome’s aluminum circular base ring is bolted directly onto galvanized steel plates welded to each ground screw, distributing wind forces evenly. For soft or sandy soils, we supply heavy-duty PVC ballast bags filled with locally sourced sand or gravel; these strap to the base ring as supplementary weight. Additionally, stainless steel guy lines tensioned at 45° angles connect to reinforced D-ring points spaced every 1.5 meters around the dome perimeter. Each guy line uses quick-release cam locks for rapid setup and adjustment. For installation on concrete pads, we pre-drill and anchor using chemical expansion bolts rated for 1.5 kN shear. All anchoring hardware is corrosion-resistant and factory-tested under simulated 120 km/h wind loads. This multi-tiered anchoring system ensures stability and safety in diverse campsite conditions.
