The Lay-on ceiling system is similar with the Lay-in ceiling system. They are both the same suspension systems (hidden frame and visible frame), the main differences is the panels.They lay-on ceiling system’s panel edges are not “falling down”, it’s the same level, parallel to the ceiling grids.
