PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
When it comes to fire safety, aluminum ceilings hold a distinct and critical advantage over standard gypsum ceilings. Aluminum is a non-combustible material, meaning it will not burn and will not contribute to the spread of fire. It has a very high melting point (approximately 660°C), so it maintains its structural integrity for longer during a fire, helping to contain it within a room and preventing the ceiling from collapsing prematurely. This provides crucial extra time for evacuation. In contrast, while fire-rated gypsum board exists, standard gypsum contains paper facing that can ignite and burn. Furthermore, under intense heat, the chemical water in the gypsum core is released as steam, which can cause the board to calcify and crumble, leading to structural failure. Our aluminum ceiling systems meet stringent international fire safety standards (like Class A ratings), making them a significantly safer choice for public spaces, commercial buildings, and residential properties throughout the Middle East, providing peace of mind and enhanced protection.
