PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
The corrosion resistance of aluminum exterior wall panels stems from a comprehensive defense strategy that addresses both material selection and protective finishes. We begin by using 5000-series marine-grade aluminum alloys known for their inherent resistance to chloride-induced corrosion, making them ideal for coastal or industrial environments. Panels can be anodized to form a durable oxide layer that seals the aluminum surface, preventing moisture and aggressive agents from attacking the metal. Over this, a PVDF fluoropolymer coating provides an additional barrier, blocking UV light and chemical pollutants. Hemmed edges and liquid seal treatments cover all cut surfaces, eliminating raw aluminum exposure. Furthermore, when installed as part of a rainscreen system, the panels are separated from the substrate by a ventilated air gap and equipped with drainage channels that prevent moisture entrapment. Regular maintenance—such as scheduled rinsing to remove corrosive deposits—completes the corrosion management cycle, ensuring decades of trouble-free performance for both facade and paired aluminum ceiling applications.
