PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
A curtain wall is attached to the building frame through a system of anchors, clips, or brackets that connect the aluminum mullions to floor slabs or columns. These attachments allow vertical and horizontal adjustments during installation and accommodate building movements caused by wind pressure and thermal expansion. The frames are typically fastened to embeds or angle brackets cast into the concrete floor slabs. Flexible sealants and gaskets at perimeter joints maintain weather tightness while allowing for structural sway. For unitized systems, modules are lifted by crane and hooked onto temporary supports before final anchoring. This attachment method ensures the curtain wall remains secure under various loads without transferring structural forces to the glass infill.
