Installing aluminum railing on concrete steps requires precise angle adjustment and sturdy anchoring. First, measure the rise and run of the stair to calculate the handrail slope using Archsky’s stair slope chart. Mark post locations on the treads or risers—ensure posts align with stringer for optimal support. Drill anchor holes at each location with a hammer drill, then install wedge or sleeve anchors sized for concrete. Adjust post base angle plates or use adjustable-angle base flanges to match stair incline. Secure posts plumb relative to the stair slope, then attach top and bottom rails cut to the calculated angle. Insert balusters or glass infill, snap on mid-rails if required, and tighten all connections. Seal mounting flanges to prevent water ingress and check for smooth, secure handrail continuity.
