Concrete installations demand durable anchors and precise layout for a stable railing system. Start by marking post locations on the concrete surface, aligning with building plans. Use a hammer drill and carbide bit to bore anchor holes—typically ½″ diameter to match wedge or sleeve anchors. Clean dust from holes with a vacuum or blow-out bulb. Insert stainless-steel wedge anchors through the post base flange, tap until seated, and tighten nuts to manufacturer-specified torque, pulling the wedge secure against the hole wall. Verify each post is plumb before full torque. Insert rails, infill, and handrails according to Archsky’s assembly instructions, and caulk post bases to seal against water. This method delivers a rigid, long-lasting aluminum railing system on concrete patios, balconies, and walkways.
