PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
To install curtain wall glass, begin after the aluminum framing is plumb and secure. Each insulated glass unit (IGU) is lifted using suction cups and guided into the frame pocket. Gaskets or setting blocks at the frame base support the glass and prevent metal-to-glass contact. Once positioned, the glass is pressed against pre-installed perimeter gaskets, and pressure plates or snap-in covers are applied to hold it in place. Sealant is injected into frame joints to create continuous weather seals. Weep holes at the sill allow any entrapped moisture to drain. Perform visual checks for uniform gasket compression and test for air or water leaks to confirm installation quality.
