PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Installing a curtain wall typically follows a unitized or stick-built approach. In stick-built installation, installers first secure vertical mullions to floor slabs using adjustable anchors. Horizontal transoms are then fixed between mullions to form rectangular frames. Glass or spandrel panels are set into these frames, compressed by pressure plates or retained by gaskets. Sealant is applied around panel perimeters for weatherproofing, and weep holes ensure drainage. For unitized systems, factory-assembled modules are lifted into place by crane, hooked onto temporary supports, and then fastened to the structure. Post-installation checks include plumb alignment, sealant integrity, and water infiltration testing. Proper installation ensures thermal efficiency, airtightness, and structural safety.
