PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Although aluminum is non-porous and inherently moisture-resistant, indoor installations of aluminum wall panels require careful detailing to avoid condensation and vapor migration behind the cladding. To mitigate moisture risk, we recommend bonding panels to moisture-resistant substrates like cement board or using factory-laminated backer sheets that block vapor diffusion. Peel-and-stick membranes or spray-applied coatings can be installed behind panels in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms or kitchens, preventing vapor drive into concealed cavities. Edge trims and silicone gaskets form continuous seals around panel perimeters, effectively blocking air leaks where moisture could enter. For ceiling plenum walls, we design panel clips with thermal breaks to limit temperature disparities that trigger dew point condensation. Finally, the same powder-coat and anodized finishes used outdoors ensure indoor panels remain stain-resistant and easy to clean, reducing the likelihood of mold growth. Together, these measures deliver a hygienic, moisture-managed environment perfectly aligned with our aluminum ceiling and facade expertise.
