The project needs a ceiling design that could enhance the overall spatial experience with a strong visual presence. Rather than a flat or repetitive layout, the design aimed to introduce movement, depth, and a sense of rhythm through geometric variation and flowing forms.
As an auditorium, the space required effective sound control to ensure clarity and comfort during use. The ceiling system needed to contribute to sound absorption and help manage sound reflections within the interior environment.
To achieve the intended visual composition, the ceiling design incorporated non-standard panel dimensions and multiple geometric forms. This approach required a solution that could maintain consistency across different panel types while allowing flexibility in design execution.
We use 3-mm-thick aluminum panels for the ceiling system. This thickness provides a balance between structural strength and workability, making it suitable for forming customized shapes while ensuring long-term durability.
To support the acoustic requirements of the auditorium, all panels feature perforations with a diameter of 5.0 mm. This perforated design helps improve sound absorption and reduces unwanted reflections, contributing to a cleaner and more comfortable auditory environment.
To bring the design into reality, each panel needed to ensure the dimensions and shapes aligned precisely with the design intent. These non-standard aluminum panels required accurate processing to maintain consistency across different forms.
In addition, our technical team designed a customized Z-shaped channel system to support the installation, allowing for better alignment between panels and improving overall installation efficiency.
