PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
High-traffic zones such as airport lounges, shopping malls, and exhibition halls expose open cell ceilings to dust, fingerprints, and occasional impact from maintenance equipment. To maintain appearance and longevity, we recommend finishes that combine hardness with easy cleaning. Anodizing builds a dense oxide layer (Type II, 15–25 µm thickness) that resists scratching and fading; ideal for standard-use areas. For more demanding environments, a high-build polyester powder coat (70–80 µm) offers a resilient, uniform surface that tolerates cleaning solvents and abrasion. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) coatings, though more costly, provide exceptional UV resistance and chemical inertness, suited to exterior canopies or indoor atriums exposed to sunlight. All finishes should meet AAMA 2605 specifications for performance. Avoid glossy finishes that highlight surface defects; instead, choose matte or satin textures that mask wear. Regular dusting and occasional wipe-down with mild detergent will keep the open cell ceiling looking pristine for years.
