PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Balustrade systems typically employ laminated tempered glass, combining the strength of tempered glass with the safety of lamination. Tempered glass undergoes a thermal treatment that increases its flexural strength by up to five times compared to annealed glass. Laminated glass bonds two (or more) tempered panes with interlayers (usually PVB or SGP) so that if one pane breaks, fragments adhere to the film, preventing hazardous shards. For enhanced performance, structural glazing interlayers such as SentryGlas® (SGP) offer higher post-breakage strength and reduced glass thickness. Archsky’s aluminum railing products are engineered to house laminated tempered glass panels in U-channels, base shoe systems, or point-fix fittings, ensuring the glass type, thickness, and mounting method are perfectly matched to load requirements, wind speeds, and aesthetic preferences—delivering a safe, clear, and long-lasting balustrade solution.
