Are ACM panels eco-friendly?

ACM is partially recyclable. The aluminum layers can be recycled indefinitely, but the core (unless mineral-based) often isn’t. Many manufacturers now use recycled aluminum (up to 85%) and eco-friendly coatings to reduce environmental impact. Fire-rated ACM with mineral cores is more sustainable than polyethylene versions. For LEED-certified projects, ACM contributes to energy efficiency by improving insulation. Always verify suppliers’ sustainability certifications (e.g., ISO 14001) to align with green goals.
