PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Installation of ACM panels for aluminum ceilings and facades follows a sequence: structural framing, panel attachment, joint sealing, and finishing. First, install an aluminum substructure—suspended grid for ceilings or mullion-and-transom framing for facades—ensuring level and plumb alignment per manufacturer tolerances.
For concealed-clip systems, engage panel flanges onto pre-mounted clips fixed to the framing rails, adjusting for uniform joint widths (8–10 mm typical). Lock clips in place once panels are correctly aligned. Through-fastened systems require pre-drilling panel flanges and securing with corrosion-resistant fasteners and EPDM washers. Observe edge setbacks and expansion clearances to accommodate thermal movement.
Next, inspect and seal all panel joints with back-primed gaskets or compatible silicone. Install perimeter trims—head, jamb, sill, and drip edges—to conceal panel ends and direct moisture out of the system. For facades, ensure ventilation space behind panels to facilitate airflow and drainage.
Final steps include cleaning panel faces, removing protective film, and performing a quality check on alignment, seal continuity, and fastener torque. Proper installation delivers durable, weather-tight, and visually seamless aluminum ceiling and facade surfaces.
