PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Anodized and PVDF coatings each offer distinct advantages for aluminum façades. Anodizing creates a hard, transparent oxide layer directly on the metal surface, providing excellent scratch resistance, natural metallic luster, and low maintenance. It performs best where color variety is limited to metallic tones and platinum hues. PVDF coil-coatings, conforming to AAMA 2605, deliver a broad color palette—including vibrant solids and custom prints—and outstanding UV, chemical, and chalk resistance, with warranties up to 30 years. While PVDF film can be scratched more easily than anodized surfaces, small damages are less visible when matching primers are applied. Maintenance for both involves periodic cleaning, but anodized panels rarely require repainting, whereas PVDF may need retouching over decades. Selection depends on desired aesthetics, color flexibility, and long-term warranty requirements.
