PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Hanging ACM panels for aluminum ceilings or facades begins with a precision-framed substructure. For ceilings, install suspended main and cross T-bars or a bespoke aluminum grid. For facades, erect vertical mullions and horizontal rails to specified spacing and tolerances.
Use concealed panel clips that lock into the rail grooves and engage the panel’s hidden channel. Clip spacing typically ranges from 300–600 mm depending on panel size and wind load. Slide each panel into place, aligning edges and maintaining uniform joints. Lock the clip mechanism to secure the panel. For through-fastened facades, position panels, drill clearance holes through the panel flange into the framing, and fasten with self-drilling screws with EPDM washers.
Monitor panel alignment with laser levels, adjusting clip positions or fastener tightness to achieve planar continuity. After hanging, seal joints with back-primed gaskets or silicone, and install perimeter trims and flashings to weather-seal the system.
Proper hanging techniques ensure ACM panels remain secure, allow for thermal movement, and deliver the clean lines essential to modern aluminum ceiling and facade designs.
