PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Installing ACM panels for aluminum ceilings or facades begins with a properly designed aluminum substructure: either a suspended ceiling grid or an exterior mullion and transom support system. First, verify that the framing is level, plumb, and aligned to layout lines. For facades, install horizontal rails and vertical mullions to manufacturer tolerances, ensuring drainage and ventilation.
For concealed-clip installations, attach factory-supplied clips to the panel’s hidden flange and engage them onto the support rails. Adjust panel alignment using the clip slots before locking. For through-fastened systems, pre-drill holes through the panel flange into the framing members, then secure with corrosion-resistant screws or rivets. Seal cut edges and fastener heads with compatible sealant to prevent moisture infiltration and corrosion.
Maintain consistent joint widths—typically 8–10 mm—for thermal expansion and aesthetic uniformity. Install expansion joints or flashing at panel terminations, corners, and penetrations. After panel placement, inspect all seams, apply back-primed gaskets or silicone sealant as needed, and clean panel surfaces with mild detergent. Proper installation ensures the ACM panels perform optimally, delivering long-term durability and the sleek appearance characteristic of modern aluminum ceiling and facade designs.
