PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Prepare the Area:
Clear the workspace, take measurements, and mark the joist locations on the walls so they are properly lined up.
Install Furring Channels:
Attach furring channels to the ceiling joists for extra support and a level surface.
Measure and Cut Drywall Panels:
Measure and cut drywall panels to fit the ceiling area. Use a utility knife for sharp edges.
Hang the Panels:
Lift each drywall panel into position and fasten it to the framing with drywall screws. Use a drywall lift for large panels.
Tape and Mud:
Cover the seams between panels with joint tape, then apply joint compound over the tape and the screw holes. Trowel the compound smooth.
Fill with Compound:
Once the compound is dry, sand the surface to achieve a flat finish. Prime and paint as desired.
Final Touch:
Inspect for defects, touch up where needed, and clean up the area.
