Correct hanger installation is critical for suspended aluminum ceilings to ensure level panels and long‐term stability. First, survey ceiling elevations and mark grid lines using laser levels or chalk snaps, accounting for any building settlement or irregularities. Position main runners at manufacturer-specified intervals—commonly 600mm or 1200mm on center—and temporarily secure them with scaffolding clamps. Install hangers by anchoring them vertically into structural overhead elements (joists or concrete slabs) using appropriate fasteners: toggle bolts for hollow substrates, wedge anchors for concrete. Maintain minimum hanger embedment depths and ensure ties are plumb by adjusting threaded rod lengths with leveling nuts. Once the main runners are anchored, insert cross tees to form the T‐bar grid, verifying squareness with a 3‐4‐5 triangle method. Hanger spacing along each runner should never exceed the maximum span recommended for the aluminum panel profile—often 1.2 to 1.5 meters for standard 0.6mm alloy panels. After grid alignment, clip aluminum ceiling panels into the T‐bar slots, checking for consistent reveal widths. Finally, perform a complete level check and adjust hangers where necessary to correct deflection and maintain seamless panel appearance.
