PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Curved and customized aluminum ceiling panels allow designers to create signature interiors and sculptural volumes—used extensively in resort lobbies, museum spaces and flagship retail stores in Southeast Asia (Bali, Phuket, Singapore). Benefits include the ability to follow complex geometry, form continuous wave-like surfaces and deliver a unique brand statement. Aluminum’s ductility and light weight make it well-suited to complex shaping; with the right tooling (roll-bending, press-brake, or bespoke folding) manufacturers can produce panels that meet demanding curvature and finish requirements. Custom panels can be perforated, finished with PVDF for durability in coastal climates, or anodized for a premium look. Limitations include significantly higher fabrication and installation costs versus standard flat profiles, longer lead times, and increased design coordination—especially for integrating lighting, HVAC diffusers, and expansion joints. Curved panels require precise substructure and tolerances; poor field conditions or inaccurate measurements lead to visible gaps. In humid Southeast Asian environments, allowance for thermal expansion and corrosion-resistant fasteners is mandatory to prevent distortion over time. Maintenance can be more challenging because bespoke panels often require custom replacement parts. As a manufacturer, we advise early collaboration with architects and MEP consultants, 3D mock-ups or shop drawings, and pilot panels to validate finish and fit—especially when executing curved ceilings for high-visibility projects in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bali.
