PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Successful ACM (aluminum composite material) facade installation hinges on meticulous planning and execution. First, the structural substrate must be cleaned, leveled, and waterproofed to receive the aluminum extrusion rails. Next, thermal-break aluminum framing is anchored to the substrate at specified centers to accommodate wind loads and expansion. Installers then align the horizontal and vertical rails, verifying plumb and level across the facade grid. ACM panels, cut to tight tolerances in the factory, are brought onsite and fitted into the frame using concealed clip systems that allow for thermal movement. Each panel joint is checked for consistent reveal widths, with shims added behind clips as needed. After panel placement, silicone or UV-stable sealants are applied in strategic locations—corners, penetrations, and perimeter edges—to ensure air- and water-tight performance. Flashings and drip edges are installed at transitions, while protective films are left in place until final inspection. This methodical sequence guarantees a durable, high-quality ACM facade that meets aesthetic and performance standards.
