PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
An aluminum ceiling will unequivocally last longer than a gypsum board ceiling, especially in the demanding climates of the Middle East. Aluminum is an incredibly durable and stable material. It is immune to the most common causes of ceiling failure: moisture and humidity. It will not sag, warp, or crumble when exposed to damp conditions. It is also resistant to rust, corrosion, insects, and mold growth. The factory-applied finishes on our aluminum panels are designed to resist fading, chipping, and peeling for many years, so the ceiling maintains its original appearance with minimal maintenance. Gypsum board, however, has a much shorter lifespan. It is highly vulnerable to water damage, which can happen from a plumbing leak or high humidity, leading to irreparable sagging and staining. It can also crack due to building settlement and is susceptible to impact damage. Over time, a gypsum ceiling will require repainting and repairs, whereas an aluminum ceiling is a fit-and-forget solution that offers decades of reliable performance and aesthetic appeal.
