PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Located within Casa Loma, one of Toronto's best-known historic landmarks, BlueBlood Steakhouse is recognized for its premium dining environment and distinctive architectural setting.
To expand the restaurant's outdoor dining space while maintaining consistency with the overall architectural atmosphere, the project adopted the PRANCE Classic Dome Sunrooms. The installation created a semi-outdoor dining area that combines transparent structural design with the visual character of the surrounding historic property.
The project shows how PRANCE dome sunroom solutions can be integrated into high-end hospitality environments where both spatial aesthetics and operational functionality are important considerations.

Outdoor dining areas increasingly serve as an extension of the overall customer experience rather than simply additional seating capacity.
In this project, the Classic Dome Sunroom was used to create a more defined and comfortable outdoor dining environment for the restaurant. The transparent panels of the dome sunroom allows natural daylight and exterior views to remain part of the dining space while providing a more enclosed and controlled environment compared with conventional patio seating.
The dome layout also helps establish clearer spatial separation between dining zones, making the area suitable for daily restaurant operation as well as private reservations and small-group hospitality use.
In addition to its functional role, the Classic Dome Sunroom also serves as a recognizable architectural feature within the restaurant environment.
For restaurant, visually distinctive structures can contribute to stronger brand recognition and customer recall. These classic dome sunrooms create a recognizable spatial element that differentiates the outdoor dining area from standard restaurant patio configurations.
Within the Casa Loma setting, the dome sunroom establishes a stronger visual connection between modern hospitality design and the surrounding landmark architecture, helping the restaurant create a more identifiable and experience-oriented dining space.
The Classic Dome Sunroom uses a clean geometric form and high-transparency panels, allowing the structure to maintain a contemporary appearance without creating excessive visual contrast against the historic stone architecture of the castle.
During daytime, the dome improves natural lighting conditions within the dining area and enhances visual openness. In the evening, integrated lighting contributes to a more refined hospitality atmosphere while reinforcing the visual identity of the outdoor dining space.
Toronto's seasonal climate creates operational limitations for many outdoor dining spaces.
The Classic Dome Sunroom creates a semi-enclosed space that improves performance in different weather conditions while maintaining the open, transparent feel expected in outdoor dining areas. This allows the restaurant to extend the usable season of its outdoor seating area across varying climates.
From an operational perspective, the structure also helps improve space efficiency and gives the restaurant greater flexibility in daily service, private dining arrangements, and small-scale events.
