Khalsa Diwan Sikh Temple is a Sikh temple in Hong Kong, located in Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island, at the junction of Stubbs Road and Queen's Road East, and is now a Grade II listed historic building in Hong Kong. It is the center of religious and social activities for some 8,000 Sikhs in Hong Kong.
Project Overview And Architectural Profile:
Khalsa Diwan Sikh Temple commenced its reconstruction work in October 2018 and was successfully completed on November 8, 2022. With 76,000 sq. ft. of usable space, the temple's architecture is exceptionally fresh and bright with a bright white color palette throughout. For this reason, PRANCE was honored to be invited to design the ceiling of the Sikh temple and install 800 square meters of fluorocarbon white square ceiling, which not only unified the color tone of the whole building, but also further enhanced its simplicity and bright visual effect.

| Challenge
The PRANCE team faced a number of challenges, including the integration of cultural traditions and modern design, the packaging and transportation of materials, and the need to take into account the load-bearing, wind-resistant, fire-resistant, and water-resistant engineering issues of the ceiling during the installation process.
| Solution
The PRANCE team chose a professional logistics partner and used durable packaging materials to protect the materials during transportation in order to keep them from being damaged. Detailed structural analysis and risk assessment prior to installation ensured that the ceiling design could withstand the expected loads and withstand the effects of wind, while materials that met fire and water resistance standards were selected and relevant safety codes were strictly adhered to during construction to prevent any potential technical problems.
