PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
Long-term corrosion resistance in aluminum façades starts with material selection and finish. Architects often specify AL-Mg alloys or 5000 series aluminum, known for marine-grade performance. Prior to coating, panels undergo chemical etching and conversion-coating to remove impurities and create a uniform surface. PVDF or high-build polyester coatings, applied in factory coil-coating lines, resist chemical attack and UV-degradation; class-approved primers enhance adhesion. For anodized systems, tightly controlled electrolytic processes produce a dense oxide layer; sealing locks in corrosion-resistant pores. On-site, maintain façades by removing salt deposits, pollutants, and biological growth every six months. Inspect and repair any scratches or joint seal failures promptly. Combined, these measures deliver aluminum façades that retain structural integrity and appearance for decades.
