PRANCE metalwork is a leading manufacturer of metal ceiling and facade systems.
The BLDG Hotel project, located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a high-end hotel building that combines modern architectural aesthetics with functional performance.
For this project, PRANCE supplied the curtain wall systems, hinged doors, sliding doors, and sensor doors, covering a total installation area of approximately 1000㎡. The client required a solution that ensures long-term durability, energy efficiency, sound insulation, and safety, while providing optimal usability and comfort for different hotel areas, including lobbies, guest rooms, and public spaces.

To achieve both aesthetic appeal and long-term performance, PRANCE carefully selected the materials and systems for this project, considering the local climate in Addis Ababa. The designs balance transparency, safety, and structural strength while ensuring durability under strong sunlight, seasonal rains, and wind exposure.Curtain Wall & Material Design:
8mm thick clear tempered glass offers excellent impact resistance for safety while maintaining visual openness and abundant natural light. Its high structural strength and long-term weather resistance make it ideal for large façades, effectively coping with high daytime temperatures and UV exposure common in Ethiopia.
In high-stress or high-exposure areas, 1.8mm thick tempered glass combined with 1.1mm thick aluminium corrugated panels was applied. This enhances rigidity, corrosion and weather resistance, while retaining light transmission and safety.
These systems provide excellent water- and air-tightness, sound insulation, and weather resistance, meeting international standards for hotels.
Each system was tailored to suit the local climate, the building's specific functions, and how often each area is used. This approach ensures a good balance between attractive design, practical operation, and long-lasting durability.
The combination of large glass surfaces and durable composite materials allows for maximum natural light, wide scenic views, and modern visual impact, enhancing both the guest experience and the hotel’s architectural presence.
The aluminum profiles of the doors and windows are manufactured with precise extrusion and cutting processes, ensuring uniform dimensions and high structural stability. Special surface treatment techniques enhance durability and resistance to corrosion, providing reliable performance for long-term installation.
Finished doors and windows are carefully packed to protect profiles, glass, and hardware during transportation. Each unit is secured to prevent damage, ensuring that products arrive on-site in optimal condition for installation.
