The PRANCE team recently completed a project for China Construction Bank, focusing on wall decoration and structural optimization. In this project, the team introduced new 4D faux wood panels, incorporating a lifelike design that brings natural wood textures to the building’s walls, greatly enhancing the overall spatial aesthetic and visual experience.

| Challenge
In the project, we initially planned to use Honeycomb Panels as wall materials. However, after thorough research and discussion within the team, we discovered that although honeycomb panels offer advantages in terms of lightweight and strength, they tend to deform over time. This is particularly true in outdoor or high-humidity environments, where honeycomb panels can be affected by thermal expansion and contraction, leading to issues such as bending, denting, or delamination. These problems not only compromise the aesthetic appeal of the walls but also pose potential risks to the structural stability.
| Solution
The PRANCE team decided to optimize the design by switching to Corrugated Ceiling Panels as a substitute. Compared to honeycomb panels, corrugated panels exhibit superior anti-deformation properties, especially when it comes to ensuring structural stability over long-term use. In addition, corrugated panels outperform honeycomb panels in terms of resistance to external pressure and impact, providing better durability and safety for the building.
