PRANCE delivered high-performance architectural systems for the Malawi Petroda Petrol Station, including Column Covers, Custom Aluminum Panels, and S-Plank Ceiling. Designed to withstand Malawi’s outdoor conditions, the project prioritized weather resistance, chemical corrosion defense, and fire safety while ensuring rapid, hazard-compliant installation.

Harsh Environmental Resistance

Materials must demonstrate exceptional durability in outdoor conditions, including resistance to strong winds, heavy rainfall, prolonged UV exposure, and significant temperature fluctuations. The structural integrity and appearance of components (e.g., ceiling panels, cladding, and column covers) must remain unaffected by deformation, color fading, or thermal expansion/contraction over time.

Strict Fire Safety Compliance

All materials and designs must adhere to stringent fireproofing regulations. This includes the use of fire-rated aluminum panels and flame-retardant coatings to mitigate combustion risks in fuel-intensive environments.

Operational Constraints in Petrol Station Environments

High-Altitude Installation Safety: Rigorous protocols are required to prevent tool or material falls during elevated installation, ensuring compliance with safety requirement.

Non-Combustible Construction Methods: Open-flame welding is strictly prohibited due to fuel vapor risks. Alternative joining techniques, such as mechanical fastening or pre-fabricated modular assembly, must be prioritized.

Low-Maintenance and Cleanability

Surfaces must incorporate oil-resistant and anti-adhesion coatings to prevent dirt and fuel residue accumulation.Consider using products that allow components to be easily removed and replaced without damaging adjacent structures to minimize long-term maintenance costs.

S-Plank Ceiling: The S-Plank Ceiling is specifically designed to withstand outdoor conditions with its wind-resistant installation system. Coating is applied to shield against sunlight degradation, rainwater erosion, and temperature-induced stress.

Column Covers & Wall Panels: These components are fabricated from high-grade aluminum with precision technology to maintain dimensional stability. The surfaces are treated with coatings that repel water, reduce heat absorption, and prevent color fading over time.

2.Chemical Corrosion Defense Mechanism

All exposed components, the ceiling, column covers, and wall panels, are treated with an anti-corrosion coating. This special coating creates a chemical barrier to protect against corrosive substances such as fuel vapors and vehicle exhaust emissions.

3.Inherent Fire Safety

Aluminum's natural non-combustibility eliminates fuel contribution to fires, meeting strict fire safety standards. Unlike combustible materials, it emits no toxic smoke when exposed to high heat.

 Tool-Free Assembly: The S-Plank Ceiling can be installed directly without the need for loose tools or complex equipment when installed at height.

 Welding-Free Construction: All connections use mechanical fasteners instead of open flames. Panels are precision-cut in factories to ensure seamless on-site fitting, avoiding the need for cutting or welding adjustments.
