Improve the durability, structural integrity, and protective performance of the canopy edges and columns while minimizing long-term maintenance needs. The system also needed to maintain a consistent appearance throughout the facility.
The canopy edges and columns needed to withstand prolonged sunlight exposure, high humidity, and intense seasonal rainfall typical of Malawi's tropical climate. Unlike some regions, strong winds are less frequent, but the system required reliable protection against moisture and corrosion.
The canopy edges and columns were designed as modular aluminum units, prefabricated to ensure fast and accurate installation on-site. Each module was engineered for precise alignment, reducing potential construction errors and ensuring a seamless fit across the entire station.
All components were fabricated using anodized aluminum, selected for its corrosion resistance, resilience against high humidity, and UV protection. This ensures the canopy edges and columns maintain structural stability and color integrity even under prolonged exposure to intense tropical sun and heavy seasonal rains.
The PVDF-coating surfaces deliver a smooth, clean, and modern appearance, while offering excellent resistance to UV radiation, corrosion, and harsh weather conditions. This coating ensures long-lasting color stability, preventing fading and discoloration. Combined with the modular and weather-resistant design, the system minimizes ongoing maintenance, reduces operational costs, and enhances the overall professionalism and visual identity of the Petroda filling station.
All aluminum canopy edges and columns were treated with PVDF fluorocarbon coating and subjected to strict color-matching inspections. This process ensured a uniform appearance with no visible variation in shade or gloss, guaranteeing the final installation would look cohesive, premium, and aligned with Petroda's branding standards.
Aluminum components were carefully cut, bent, and drilled with high precision, ensuring accurate dimensions and perfect alignment during installation. This approach reduces the need for on-site adjustments and accelerates installation timelines.
The products were coated with PVDF fluorocarbon paint, providing excellent resistance to UV rays, corrosion, and fading. Before shipping, protective film was applied to safeguard the surfaces from scratches, dust, and minor impacts during transport, storage, and handling. This ensured the products arrived in perfect condition for installation.
Each component passed detailed inspections, including dimensional checks, surface finish verification, and evaluation of connection points, ensuring the system is ready for immediate installation upon arrival.
