This is an established hardware store in the industry that dates back to 199X. Several decades of journey have not eroded the continuous improvement of this store, but rather, it has consistently absorbed experience and maintained progress over the years.
The store has undergone the test of time and now requires a rejuvenation. Similarly, Prance, with respect for the past and aspirations for the future, is willing to offer a brand-new spatial experience for the rejuvenated 'Modern' hardware store.

Modern Hardware, established in 1990, offers a comprehensive range of reliable products. Over the decades, Modern Hardware has continued to thrive through various challenges, exporting its products worldwide and earning the trust and recognition of customers from all corners of the globe. In 2020, Modern Hardware made the decision to infuse new vitality into its longstanding professional hardware business.

For a hardware business with such depth, substance, and historical heritage, our primary consideration was to showcase a unique, stable, and dependable style. Simultaneously, Prance, with its own rich industry history, approached this project as if reuniting with an old friend.

After multiple site visits and extensive discussions, we decided to use anodized aluminum panels as the decorative material to showcase Modern Hardware's unique character. These aluminum panels, treated with anodization, not only exhibit outstanding corrosion resistance but also feature a cleverly crafted antique effect, exuding a profound sense of history and exquisite vintage aesthetics. This choice perfectly conveys the style and essence of Modern Hardware."

The Challenges Faced by this Project:

 

The first challenge: This is a renovation project based on an existing building. We not only need to consider the material selection, processing, production, and final installation, but also need to take into account the degree of aging and the actual condition of the building's surface.

 

The second challenge: For Prance, it's not just about refining our own products, but also about considering which of our products are most suitable for our customers. In a project like this, our Prance technical team not only needs to conduct an assessment based on the previous framework structure of the store and its current level of aging but also needs to provide the client with a solution that offers the highest functionality and aesthetic appeal.

 

Alternative Solutions:

 

In response to the above-mentioned challenges, our professional technical team actively collaborated with the project site and the client. Through on-site measurements, 3D modeling simulations, product demonstrations, and multiple discussions and exchanges of ideas, both parties reached a consensus with great satisfaction.

 

For this project, we opted for anodized aluminum panels with an antique appearance effect. Anodization is a process in which metal products are immersed in an electrolyte, used as an anode, and subjected to direct current to form an oxide film on the metal surface. 

 

This treatment imparts corrosion resistance, enhances surface hardness, partially isolates the surface from direct contact with the external environment, prevents conductivity, and offers a variety of color options. The antique effect, resulting in a profound sense of history and a rustic deep copper appearance, is a perfect combination for decorating a hardware store.
